Why do you use an eight seater people carrier?
We believe that you don’t have to spend £30 to have a day out on a coach, when for the same amount of money you can spend it in a smaller vehicle where you can get to meet new friends in a small group, and enjoy a fun, interesting day out.

Among other things, in a smaller vehicle you can also be more flexible with timings, get to places “off the beaten track” and have a more personalised service, so you can ask lots of questions!

AJP Tours is a registered Private Hire Operator and our vehicle (Mercedes Vito Traveliner) goes through detailed government specified safety checks. At the moment we are licensed to carry a maximum of 8 people. We will however be running minibus tours in the future and can organise these for you now. Please contact us with your specific requirements.

Food and Stops?
There will be plenty of time on our tours for refreshment stops. We will also be able to recommend where to have lunch and if possible we try to stop off somewhere to have afternoon 'Tea and Scones'.

Who are the guides?
All guides are local, knowledgeable and are passionate about the places we visit. Each of them hold a Private Hire Drivers Licence, and are therefore trained to the highest standard. For more information see the About Us page.

How late can I book?
If there are still places available, we can accommodate bookings up until the time of departure. However, this is only possible if you call our booking line on 07979 304582.

What if I can’t make the tour, can I get my money back?
If there is a genuine reason for you missing the tour we will do all we can to accommodate you on a tour in the future.

Do I have to pay before I travel?
It would be preferable for you to pay at the time of booking the tour, however if this is not possible you can pay in cash on the morning of departure.

What if our group is bigger than 8?
We can usually cater for all tour requirements, people carriers, minibuses, even coach tours, so please ring our booking line on 07979 304582.

Can you pick us up from our hotel?
On our scheduled tours we pick up from locations throughout Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, Hotels, Language Schools and the standard Pick-up Points.

What footwear shall I bring?
Bring footwear that you are comfortable walking in. If the day looks like it might be wet try to wear something warm and water-proof. Trainers are preferable.

What will happen if the weather is bad?
We try to run tours whatever the weather. Some of our best days occur when the weather no so good.

Are entrance fees included?
We do not include entrance fees on our tours.

Where will I be dropped off when the tour is over?
Your guide will drop you wherever he picked you up. Please let you guide know on the day if you would like to be dropped off somewhere different.

If I didn’t enjoy the tour what can I do?
Please let us know if you didn’t enjoy the tour by contacting us at feedback@ajptours.co.uk. We are continuously trying to improve our tours and the main way to do this is to learn from customer feedback. At the same time if you have had a great time on your tour, please let us know. We will add your comments to our website so that others can read them and get a feel for what the tours are like from the customer’s point of view.
